Handmade and designed in Alaska
From her hands to yours...
A designer, maker, and creative entrepreneur, Heather brings over 15 years of design experience to her craft, blending her background in branding and digital design with a love for building things by hand.
Each piece she creates — from hand-poured candles to cozy crocheted goods — is designed in Alaska and inspired by the quiet strength and natural beauty of the Last Frontier. Her work reflects a passion for authenticity, quality, and creativity, celebrating the connection between design and nature.
Originally from Los Angeles, Heather traded bright city lights for the glow of her own workshop window in the far north. Every creation is crafted with intent, thoughtfulness, and always with heart.

About Repurposed Candles
Repurposed Candles began in 2021 with one simple goal: to help eliminate waste by turning “unrecyclable” materials into something beautiful, useful, and sustainable.
It all started in Monterey, California, where I began making candles in cut wine bottles—a creative way to give glass a second life. But as I quickly learned, shipping those heavy glass candles was tricky (and expensive!)—not to mention the heartbreak of broken jars on arrival.
When I moved to Alaska, I decided to pivot while keeping the same heart behind the business. I began repurposing everyday jars—like pasta sauce jars and other glass containers—to make new candles. They’re still a little too heavy to ship, so you’ll find those exclusive glass jar candles only at local Alaska bazaars and events.
To share my scents beyond Alaska, I now pour the same cozy, clean-burning wax into lightweight tin containers—perfect for gifting, travel, and shipping safely anywhere in the U.S.
Sustainability remains at the core of everything I make. You can return empty glass jars in person for discounts, or if you order tin candles online, you can mail back your empty tins for store credit. Every small action adds up—and together, we can make beautiful things while keeping waste out of the landfill.
Repurposed Candles is more than just candles—it’s about giving new life to what might otherwise be thrown away, one cozy scent at a time.
